Deep Rest:This class is your dedicated recovery space inside the challenge. Designed to support consistency and prevent burnout, this is where you slow down so you can keep going.

Unlike Yin, where the focus is on sensation in long-held stretches, this practice uses fully supported restorative shapes to help the body shift into deep rest. Expect 60 minutes of stillness, props, and guided support, ending with Yoga Nidra (yogic sleep).

Hands-on grounding adjustments may be offered to help you settle and fully let go.

Join Taylor for an evening of grounding with yin yoga, gentle touch, and sound to regulate the nervous system and become grounded enough to hold your aliveness. Through stillness, hands on, resonance, and mindfulness, we tune ourselves to the vibration of our highest nature and potential. As we cross the threshold into summer, we move into a season of light, vitality, presence, and embodied action. The Summer Solstice invites us to honor the fire within to increase our capacity for aliveness, expression, creative life force, and courage.

Centered around the solar plexus chakra, the energetic home of confidence, will, and self-trust, this evening is to channel our agni, our inner fire, to increase our capacity for aliveness.

The gentle movement and touch will prepare the body for stillness and sound. Sound is vibration, meeting the body on physical, emotional, and energetic levels. As the nervous system settles, your body begins to feel safe enough to fully live.

Taylor has her doctorate in music performance and literature and a cognate in music theory. In 2021, after becoming a yoga teacher, she began to be exposed to sound as a healing modality, expanding her already intimate relationship with music and sound. Sound healing is the practice of using sound and mindful listening to transform and expand consciousness in order to enhance our body’s natural drive to regenerate and heal itself. All existence is vibratory in nature, making sound the perfect tool for healing practices and self growth. It mimics the vibratory nature of existence, affecting us on all levels: anatomical, psychological, emotional, psychological, and spiritual.

As a sound healer, Taylor invites you to think of sound with a childlike curiosity and a beginner’s mind. During this sound bath, let yourself become a part of the sound. Feel yourself inside of the vibrations or even become no thing within it. Come with an intention you set earlier this year or a value you’re striving to embody.
